Managing and Founding Partner
Mr. Nyoman Tjager is the Founding Partner of TRR Law Firm. He graduated from Gadjah Mada University Faculty of Law in 1976. He obtained his Master Degree from Fordham University, in New York, United States and Doctorate degree from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He was admitted to Indonesia Bar Association and registered as a Capital Market Legal Consultant at Financial Services Authority (OJK). He is recognized for his in-depth knowledge and experience of the capital market, foreign direct investment, state-owned enterprise arena, oil and gas industries, banking and finance transactions as well as non-banking financial, and having advised on many transaction for multinational financial institutions in consolidating operations in Indonesia.
He has been intimately involved in a long list of high-experience as a law bureau staff at Capital Market Supervisory Board (BAPEPAM-LK), law advisor at Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and expert staff for the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.
He is currently appointed as Chairman of BUMN Executive Club, Advisory Board of the Indonesian Custodian Bank Association (ABKI), and Advisory Board of the Indonesian Securities Companies Association (APEI). He was previously appointed as Vice Chairman by Indonesian Capital Market Arbitration Board (BAPMI), President Commissioner at PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), and also President Commissioner at Indonesia Stock Exchange (PT BEI). He was an advisor to the planning supervising committee at Indonesian Oil and Gas Institution and also in several multinational companies.
BACELIUS RURU
Founding Partner
Mr. Bacelius Ruru is the Founding Partner of TRR Law Firm. He graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia in 1975, and obtained his LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 1981 in the concentration field of Corporation, International Trade, and foreign investment.
He has a long list of experience in governmental positions, starting from Legal and Public Relation Bureau of Ministry of Finance, Head of Sub Directorate of Life and Social Insurance at the Directorate of Financial Institution, Directorate General of Monetary Affairs, (which ultimately morphed to be Otoritas Jasa Keuangan ("OJK")). He also served as chairman of Capital Market Supervisory Board (“BAPEPAM”) in 1993-1995 where one of his major achievement had been the passing of Capital Market Law in 1995. He also assigned as Director General of State-Owned Enterprises of the Ministry of Finance in 1995-1998. He held other various positions and responsibilities before ending his governmental service as Secretary of Ministry of State-Owned Enterprise in 2004.
Mr. Ruru has also been active in capital market activities. He served as President Commissioner of Jakarta Stock Exchange (“JSX”) in 2001-2007, in which the merger of JSX and Surabaya Stock Exchange took place during his tenure. He was also assigned as Chairman of the Jakarta Initiative Task Force (“JITF”) in 2001-2003, a government sanctioned task force in charge of settling, mostly in the form of restructuring, loans between Indonesian commercial entities and foreign borrowers. He is currently the chairman of the Indonesian Capital Market Arbitration Board (“BAPMI”).
Mr. Ruru has also serve as Commissioner/Independent Commissioner of some closely held and public companies. In recognition of his contribution to capital markets activities both in government and private service, Mr. Ruru was awarded Capital Market Figure in 2008. As well as several Satya Lencanas as token of his service to the government.

With more than 20 years of managing several companies from various background, Mrs. Tias brings her expertise to Tjager Ruru and Rekan (TRR) Law Firm. She led the management to support TRR law firm's professional work with its clients.
Apart from company management, Mrs. Tias also put a significant role on building a professional network which benefits the firm to gain trust from new clients. She built communication and developed new strategic partnership with TRR's clients. She maintains a longstanding professional relationship to meets our clients' needs and expectation.
AMALIA MAYA SARI
Partner
Ms. Amalia graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia majoring in Economic Law. She is also graduated from Netherlands Literature of the same university. Prior to joining TRR Law Firm, she worked with major foreign banks in Jakarta and joined other Indonesia's legal consultant specialized on foreign investment and actively involved in various transactions which makes her skilled on matters relating to Foreign Capital Investment.
Ms. Amalia is licensed to practice law as an advocate by the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI) and the Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants (HKHPM) who has licensed as a Capital Markets Legal Consultant recognized by Financial Services Authority (OJK). She specializes in Foreign Direct Investment, International Non-Governmental Organization ("INGO") matters and other general corporate matters such as Capital Market, Banking & Finance, Acquisition and Corporate Reorganization, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Intellectual Property Rights, Family Law, and Labor Law.
Ms. Amalia speaks Bahasa Indonesia, English fluently and basic Netherlands.

AGRADINDA ADHISTITA

Dinda earned her Bachelor of Law from International Undergraduate Program Gadjah Mada University majoring in Business Law, where she also had international exposure in Utrecht University, Netherlands with the topic of Merger Acquisition (M&A) transaction.
Prior to joining TRR Law Firm, Dinda spent the last 2 (two) years at another law firm in Jakarta, where she was involved in transaction related to Foreign Direct Investment and general corporate matters. She had also a legal internship at Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia), in which she experienced in managing matters related to Capital Market law. She also has nternship as a member of the legal division at one of National Bank in Indonesia. Dinda’s practice area is in general corporate and commercial matters, Foreign Direct Investment, Intellectual Property rights, Labor Law and Capital Market. She also holding a practice license from Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).

AUGUST SANTRO
Associate
August is an experienced young lawyer who graduated from the faculty of law at Atma Jaya Catholic University majoring in Criminal Law. During his tenure at university, he joined moot court organization (Atma Jaya Moot Court Guild) and actively represented his organization in several national moot court competitions. In his last semester, August was trusted to be the Head Project of National Moot Court Competition Piala Frans Seda 2018.
Prior to joining TRR Law Firm, August worked at another prominent litigation Law Firm in Jakarta, where he was involved and handle a lot of litigation cases and civil cases including advises clients on labor disputes as well as corruption cases. He also had legal internships as a Court Monitoring at the Corruption Eradication Commision (“Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi /(KPK”). August specializes in Labor and Employment Law, Court Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (both civil and criminal law), Commercial Disputes, Anticorruption, Bankruptcy Law and Industrial Relations. He also holding a practice license from Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).

ARDHITO ANANDA PUTRA
Junior Associate
Ardhito obtained his bachelor degree from Faculty of Law International Undergraduate Program Gadjah Mada University with Business Law as his area of focus. During his tenure at university, he participated in several competitions such as the 27th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and International Mediation Singapore (IMSG) 2020. While at university, Ardhito was also active participated in several organizations, such as: Asian Law Students Association UGM, Community of International Moot Court Competition, and Alternative Dispute Resolution Enhancement Society.
In 2019, Ardhito had an international exposure in Leiden University, Netherlands where he took the topic of International Criminal Law. He also had an experience of Legal Internship at the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia in 2020.
Since joining TRR Law Firm, Ardhito has been involved in various projects, with a focus on general corporate, commercial matters and labor law. At TRR Law Firm, Ardhito specializes in M&A transactions, general corporate and commercial matters, foreign investment, banking, labor law and capital market.
